On November 1, 2024, Georgian community in Southern California gathered in Beverly Hills to watch The Antique, Georgia’s official Academy Award nominee for the international feature film category, and were moved by its portrayal of resilience in the face of injustice. The Antique, which is inspired by true events, sheds light on the harsh realities of forced mass-deportation of Georgians from Russia in 2006.
